Firefox Quantum/Adding System wide Menu Item in Application Menu

Download Firefox Quantum from the below link

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/

Extract it and keep it in the path of your choice, say /home/user/Documents/firefox

Note: If you move the folder from this path after you had made a menu item for this, then the item will no longer start as because of path problem.

Adding a system-wide menu item

1. Search in the applications bar for the Main menu

 a) Here we choose Internet menu for adding new item firefox

b) Click New Item and give Name: Firefox Quantum

c) Under Command Give appropriate path for the executable “firefox” from firefox folder

/home/user/Documents/firefox/firefox

d) Also, click the icon area and add the corresponding pic from firefox/browser/…./icon/iconname.png

e) You can also check launch in the terminal, if so the application will be launched via terminal. (Normally uncheck)

With all these steps we are done..! Hurray
