How a Search Engine Works

There are many search engines available these days. Like Google, Yahoo, Bing, Youtube, AOL, Baidu and DuckDuckGo etc. But widely used search engine is Google. So here i am trying to explain how a search engine works.

First Google Collect the information through different websites. This process is done by Software caller Crawler, Google Bot or Spider. This software runs thousands of time in a day to collect information from various sites. Once it collects information it stores the data as per the Categories.  Depends on the content type it will store in different categories . Google success is mainly depends on how they store the data.

Once they store data, Google starts giving raking to the pages based on 200 factors. They focus more on quality content. Duplicate content is not entertained.  Finally it will show results in SERP.
