Internal links are those links which are linked to some other page of our own website by us whereas out-bound links are those links which are linked to other websites by us.

Title- the limit is 60 words

Description- the limit is 320 words.

In case of No-Follow links, if one website example ‘A’ links another website example ‘B’ then the page rank of ‘A’ does not get divided between the two websites and ‘B’ gets no benefit.

On the other hand in Do-Follow links the page rank gets divided. Therefore it is advisable to get Do-Follow links rather than No-Follow links.

  1. What is a sitemap? How to submit a sitemap?

Sitemap is a server side optimization technique. If a website has less than 1000 pages it is easy for the server to find the required data but if it has more than 1000 pages it becomes difficult for the server to find it. Thus we have to provide a map to the server to find the data. This is known as sitemap.

  • In order to submit a sitemap in wordpress we must have to download a plugin called Google XML sites.
  1. Explain Robots.txt.

If we do not want a page to get indexed in our website then we use a tool called robots.txt. The robots.txt file is used to provide instructions about the Web site to Web robots and spiders. Web authors can use robots.txt to keep cooperating Web robots from accessing all or parts of a Web site that you want to keep private. If one wants to apply the robots.txt tool for a particular page then one must follow the given guidelines-

  • Go to wordpress
  • Go to the page which you do not want to get indexed
  • Click the “No index this page/post” button at the bottom of the page
  • Go to webmaster tools
  • Click crawl
  • Click robots.txt tester
  • Type manually “Disallow:/ (the page name like ‘payments’)

In order to convert ‘non www’ to ‘www’ follow the given steps-

  • Go to http://htaccessredirect.net/
  • Enter your URL
  • Generate and copy the code
  • Paste the code in notepad
  • Save it as ht.access
  • Submit it to root folder
  1. What is 301 and 302 redirect?

301 redirect means that the page has permanently moved to another location. 301 redirects send site visitors and search engines to a different URL than the one they originally typed into their browser or selected from a search engine results page.

302 redirect on the other hand means that the page has temporarily moved to another page.
